New York City by radio-controlled airplane

The video is absolutely stunning: a remote-controlled plane flies over and around the Brooklyn Bridge, buzzes the Statue of Liberty, and explores New York from a point of view even "real" airplanes rarely see. While the police were curious about what was happening, no arrests were made.

The video was shot with a remote-controlled aircraft that has one video camera feeding images back to the operator, along with a second, passive camera taking the video that was edited together for the official release. The video was shot between 7 and 8am, those being the only hours they could safely avoid air traffic.

Japan's Latest Lifelike Robot - introduced November 2010

The newly unveiled Actroid-F mimics the actions of its operator, acting as a sort of “surrogate.” The level of lifelike authenticity is unnerving — people will soon be falling in love with robots.

The Known Universe

The Known Universe takes viewers from the Himalayas through our atmosphere and the inky black of space to the afterglow of the Big Bang. Every star, planet, and quasar seen in the film is possible because of the world's most complete four-dimensional map of the universe, the Digital Universe Atlas that is maintained and updated by astrophysicists at the American Museum of Natural History. The new film, created by the Museum, is part of an exhibition, Visions of the Cosmos: From the Milky Ocean to an Evolving Universe, at the Rubin Museum of Art in Manhattan through May 2010.

Budweiser commercial after 9-11-01

Budweiser Commercial after 9-11, & aired only ONCE!

Simply Stunning! This is a class act. Very moving, a must see!!!!! Notice the World Trade Center buildings are gone. This is the commercial spot Budweiser produced after 9-11.

They only aired it once so as not to benefit financially from it - they just wanted to acknowledge the tragic event. Can you imagine what the cost was considering production, air time, etc. I never saw this commercial again, until now ..... it is quite moving.

Awesome Rocket Video

Above is a video of a rocket taking off and gaining some serious elevation, only you can’t tell because the video camera is aimed at the fuselage of the spacecraft. The first couple of minutes are BORING! But right about the two minute mark you figure out that the camera is actually strapped to one of the two boost rockets that got the craft out of the Earth’s atmosphere.
The elevation in feet is shown in the upper left corner.
The video is from space flight mission STS-124, which took place in May 2008.
